A celebration sure to generate a lot of excitement was announced in the Daily News on July 29, 1962.

Bowling Green Days would take place for four days later that week, during which many stores would be having sales.

The most thrilling prize would be awarded to a couple via a drawing at the end of the Days – a four-day all-expenses-paid trip to New York City, including tours of Wall Street, Chinatown, the U.N. building and Broadway shows.
