David Sowders of Sowders Company Design/Builders LLC in Bowling Green was awarded The Bob Weiss Wisdom Award during the Home Builders Association of Kentucky’s 2024 winter meeting in Owensboro in early February.

Other award recipients include Drew McLellan of McLellan Homes in Lexington, Martin Conrad Outstanding Lifetime Builder Award; and Chris Anderson of Sun Windows and Doors in Owensboro, Gilbert E. Kittle Honored Associate Award. 

The awards recognize exceptional leadership and achievement in the commonwealth’s housing and business industry. 

During the meeting, senior officers and executive committee members were also elected and members of the new Emerging Leaders class were announced. 

HBAK is comprised of 18 local associations located across Kentucky in Bowling Green, Danville, Elizabethtown, Erlanger, Flatwoods, Frankfort, Hazard, Hopkinsville, Lexington, Louisville, Marion, Madisonville, Olmstead, Owensboro, Paducah, Pikeville, Richmond and Somerset.
