The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide scholarships for exceptional women in their final year of high school to attend an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the U.S. or Canada in the next academic year.
The scholarship is for women who exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success.
Rackovan served as elected president of BETA, Y-club and varsity team captain of WEHS Academic Team. She was elected as a presiding officer for Kentucky Youth Assembly in 2023-2024 school year and was selected from the top KYYMCA delegates to represent Kentucky at the Conference on National Affairs as the media representative for the past two years and received the award for the Top Media Delegate in the county in 2023.
She was selected to represent her high school in Washington D.C. as part of the Co-ops Vote Program and also was selected and served on the Board of Diversity and Inclusion Initiative team for the KYYMCA.
She will attend Western Kentucky University in the fall. Her plans are to pursue a double major in history and social studies. Her ultimate goal is to become a history professor but plans to teach at the high school level for several years.
Chapter D has been a part of the Bowling Green community since it was organized in 1947.
