David Wendell Oden

LEXINGTON – David Wendell Oden passed away Dec. 7, 2023 in Lexington, KY. He was born Dec. 2, 1935 in Bowling Green to the late J. Woodward & Thelma Oden. He was preceded in death by daughter Stephanie Oden and sister Juanita Palmer. He is survived by daughters, Gretchen Schroader of Louisville & Travis Prescott of Gainesville, FL, 2 grandsons & sister Ramona Oden Morrison of BG.

After graduating from BG High School he served in the US Army then graduated from WKU where he majored in chemistry & mathematics and minored in physics & was in the top 20 of his class. He retired as area supervisor for KY Health & Safety Dept. At his request he chose cremation & no service.

There will be a family graveside service at a later date.
