Allen man sentenced to 12 years in federal meth case

An Allen County man was sentenced Monday to 12 years in prison on federal meth trafficking charges.

Timothy E. Austin, 50, of Scottsville received the sentence in U.S. District Court after pleading guilty to possession of meth with intent to distribute.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky, Austin was sentenced for possessing a total of 263.876 grams – about 9.3 ounces – of meth intended for distribution on Aug. 15, 2022.
