Hundreds of suspected fentanyl and ecstasy pills and other drugs were reportedly found Thursday during a traffic stop on Interstate 65 that resulted in the arrest of a Bowling Green man.
According to the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force, the stop of the Honda Odyssey van occurred about five miles south of Bowling Green on I-65 by Kentucky State Police.
Officers developed probable cause to search the van, which led to the discovery of about 500 suspected fentanyl pills, 500 suspected ecstasy pills, one pound of methamphetamine, two pounds of marijuana, four grams of cocaine and a handgun, the task force said.
The investigation is ongoing, with the task force saying it believes the drugs were being transported from another state into Bowling Green.
The driver of the van, Gregory Clifford Parker, 60, of Bowling Green, was arrested on four counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and trafficking in marijuana.
