Greenwood senior Avery Buser is playing arguably the best soccer of her career.

Buser tallied four goals in Greenwood’s 8-3 win over South Warren on Aug. 31, the first four-goal game in her career. 

“It feels really good because we have been working a lot in practice,” Buser said. “To finally see it come together, especially in district games, it feels really good.”

Buser’s success has continued since that performance. She had a goal in a 2-2 tie with Central Hardin and followed that with another four-goal performance against Franklin County, giving her nine goals of her team-leading 14 goals in a three-game stretch.

Greenwood plays at Marshall County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
