A Daily News article from March 3, 1963, tells of Franklin native Pat Williams, 60, who was robbed of about $40 at his home by a knife-wielding bandit around 6:30 p.m.

State and City Police conducted investigations into the incident, but at the time of the story no details were available. The victim described the unknown assailant as being about 22 years of age, and around 6-feet tall with a thin mustache.
