Driver dies in I-65 crash in Simpson

A single-vehicle crash Wednesday night on Interstate 65 resulted in the death of the driver in Simpson County.
According to Kentucky State Police, troopers responded just before 9 p.m. Wednesday to the scene of the crash at the 11.7-mile marker on southbound I-65, where they determined that a 2008 Ford Ranger traveling south went off the right side of the road for unknown reasons, went down an embankment and struck a tree.
The driver, Andrew McConnell, 53, of Shepherdsville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
