Trolley money not well-spent

I’m truly upset that fiscal court decided to spend $500,000 on a trolley for tourists, especially when that much money could actually benefit Warren County citizens.

Tourism money never trickles down to people who are barely making ends meet. We are on the tail end of a pandemic, food costs are up 13% and Bowling Green and Warren County refuse to acknowledge that there’s a shortage of affordable housing.

To spend a half million on a trolley, that probably will never pay for itself, is thoughtless and in poor taste. My magistrate voted in favor of it. I’m rethinking how I may cast my vote in November.
