College announces second dorm for women

Due to the large number of women attending Western State Teachers’ College, there was a need for a new girls’ dormitory. The picture above is from the March 31, 1928, Daily News.
This is a rendition of the proposed building that was estimated to cost about $250,000. The new dorm was named West Hall when completed in January 1929. The other girls’ dorm, J. Whitt Potter Hall, was already full, and the new dorm was a welcome addition to the campus.
