KWC’s Gishe ends season with two-assist game

Kentucky Wesleyan freshman forward Anatoli Gishe (South Warren Class of 2019) finished with two assists in the Panthers’ 4-3 men’s soccer home loss to Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) on Tuesday.

Gishe ended the season as the Panthers’ leading goal scorer with five.

Kentucky Wesleyan finished up at 4-12-1 overall and 2-11-1 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.

MacMurray sophomore goalkeeper Brantley Estes (Glasgow Class of 2018) tallied four saves in Saturday’s 2-1 double overtime men’s soccer road loss to Iowa Wesleyan.

McMurray ended its season with a 5-12 overall mark and was 3-6 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

Cumberlands freshman Trey Wolfram (South Warren Class of 2019) picked up a first-place finish in the men’s 200-yard butterfly (2:01.08) to help the host Patriots to a 170-92 dual-meet win over Loyola (La.) on Saturday.

Wolfram also swam a leg on Cumberlands’ third-place 400 medley relay and finished fifth in the 100 fly (55.19).

Cumberlands is back in action Nov. 9 against visiting Campbellsville.

Transylvania freshman Rachel Foster (Allen County-Scottsville Class of 2019) helped the Pioneers sweep a pair of dual meets Saturday against Wilmington (Ohio) and host Wittenberg (Ohio).

Foster was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:14.75) and sixth in the 200 backstroke (2:33.99), plus swam legs on Transylvania’s second-place 200 free relay and fourth place 200 medley relay.

In the men’s meet, Transylvania freshman Michael Light (Bowling Green Class of 2019) helped the Pioneers down Wittenberg.

Light was fourth in the 1000 free (11:41.96), fifth in the 500 free (5:53.80) and eighth in the 100 free (1:00.17), plus swam a leg on the fifth-place 200 free relay.

Transylvania hosts Anderson (Ind.) on Nov. 9.

Campbellsville senior Kate Bouldin (Russellville Class of 2016) turned in a sixth-place finish in the women’s 1,500-yard freestyle (23:59.87) in Saturday’s double-dual home meet against Union and Lindsey Wilson.

Bouldin also swam a leg on the Tigers’ third-place 200 medley relay.

Campbellsville will be at Cumberlands on Nov. 9.

Murray State freshman Ryan Dent (Bowling Green Class of 2019) finished 79th overall in the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Saturday in Edwardsville, Ill.

Dent clocked a time of 28:42.7 over the 8K course.

The Racers finished sixth in the team standings.

In the women’s OVC Championships, Murray State freshman Kristin Dent (Bowling Green Class of 2019) was 61st overall in 20:11.8 over the 5K course.

Murray State’s women finished eighth in the team standings.

Berea freshman Colton Bullington (Warren East Class of 2019) finished 25th overall in Friday’s USA South Conference Championships in Rocky Mount, N.C.

Bullington completed the 8K course in 27:16.8.

Berea won the men’s team championship and will be back in action Nov. 16 at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Championships in Memphis, Tenn.

Centre senior Wilson Blakeman (Warren Central Class of 2016) finished 41st overall in Saturday’s Southern Athletic Association Championships in Mount Berry, Ga.

Blakeman completed the 8K course in 28:00.63.

Centre won the men’s team championship and will be back in action Nov. 16 at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Championships in Memphis, Tenn.

Western Kentucky sophomore Heather Whitlow (Glasgow Christian Academy Class of 2018) finished 99th overall in Saturday’s Conference USA Championships held at Kereiakes Park in Bowling Green.

Whitlow completed the 5K course in 21:31.93.

Western Kentucky finished 12th in the team standings.

Campbellsville sophomore men’s bowler Andrew McWhorter (Warren East Class of 2018) finished 22nd overall in Saturday’s Brunswick Southern Collegiate Challenge Classic in Marietta, Ga.

McWhorter averaged a 209 in six games, with a total score of 1254.

Lindsey Wilson junior Samantha Endicott (Barren County Class of 2017) finished 83rd in the women’s tournament, averaging 150.6 over five games for a total score of 753. Lindsey Wilson finished 13th in the team standings.

Campbellsville finished 12th in the men’s team standings. The Tigers return to action Nov. 30 at the National Collegiate Team Match Games in Fairview Heights, Ill.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action Jan. 25 in the Cincinnati Classic.
