Warren East’s Jeyda Bays has provided plenty of big hits for the Lady Raiders this season.

The senior first baseman delivered again Wednesday with a three-run home run in the first inning to spark Warren East to a 6-0 win over Greenwood in a pivotal District 14 matchup. The win locked up the No. 1 berth in the upcoming District 14 Tournament for the Lady Raiders.

“I feel like it matters a lot because a lot of people are going to be coming for us, just because we’ve done so well this season,” Bays said. “And our district is pretty tough. We have a lot of good teams that are here locally, so the district tournament is going to be really good. And we’re just really proud that all the work that we put into the offseason showed with us getting the No. 1 seed.”
