Family: Husband Larry West; two children (Kristen Pennington and Will West); and seven grandchildren.

The one thing no one knows about me is … I’m pretty much an open book.

My dream job is … teaching middle school science.

My first job was … lifeguard at Beech Bend in the summers.

The best advice I ever got was … you don’t have time to waste. My dad tells us that all the time, and it is so true.

My hero (and why) is … my parents. My mom because she is goal-driven and is always pushing me to be my best self and my father because he is level-headed, kind and respectful.

If I could do it all over again, I … would have studied harder in school.

The part of my job I could do without is … unreasonable people.

The one thing I always carry with me is … my Purple Pride.

Best meal I ever had was … any meal that my father prepares. He is a master chef.

At the top of my bucket list is … to go whale watching, see the Grand Canyon and travel to Egypt to see all the ancient artifacts.
