The Bowling Green East 10- and 11-year-old Little League All-Stars advanced to the semifinals of the state tournament with an 11-0, four-inning win over Russell-Flatwoods on Monday in Lebanon.

Luke Idlett had three hits and an RBI, while Chaze Huff had two hits and three RBIs to pace the offense. Evan Schallart and Canon Jaggers also finished with two hits each.

Jackson Idlett earned the win, striking out six in four innings of work.

BG East will face North Laurel at 6 p.m. CDT on Tuesday.

BG East clinched a spot in Wednesday’s semifinals with a one-hit shutout over Ashland.

Five pitchers combined on the shutout.

Jackson Lee and Griffin Veazey paced the offense with three hits each.

Warren County North dropped the final game of pool play, but still advanced to the semifinals by virtue of its 2-1 record in pool play.

Maddox Tarrence had two hits, while Morgan White had two RBIs.

Warren County North will play Lexington Eastern at 6 p.m. CDT on Tuesday.
