Indiana man identified as victim of Hart County fire

The Hart County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim of a Nov. 22 residential fire in Horse Cave.
William L. Chase, 20, of Rushville, Ind., died of smoke inhalation in the fire at 192 Riordan Road in Horse Cave, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green.

Chase was found by Horse Cave and Cave City firefighters in a bedroom of the residence. The medical examiner, assisted by Hart County Coroner Reggie Pettit, determined there was no foul play involved in the incident.
Investigation of the fire continues by KSP Detective Wesley Medley and KSP Arson Investigator Terry Scott. No other details are available at this time.
