Darrell Bowman

Former Warren Central High School standout Darrell Bowman announced his commitment to play men’s basketball at Miami (Ohio) on Thursday night.

Bowman, a 2016 Warren Central graduate, revealed his decision with a Twitter post on Thursday. The 6-foot-8 power forward also had reported offers from New Mexico State, Illinois-Chicago and Nicholls State.

Bowman played this past season at Shawnee (Ill.) Community College, where he averaged 9.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in helping the Saints to a 19-10 record. Bowman is slated to play again this season at Shawnee before joining the Redhawks for the 2018-19 season, where he will have two seasons of eligibility.
