Tisdale leads Lady Gators to shutout win

Kylie Tisdale tallied a hat trick with three goals as host Greenwood rolled to a 10-0 girls’ soccer win Thursday over Glasgow.

Anne Logan Perkins added a goal and two assists, and Anna Haddock had a goal and an assist for the Lady Gators.

Also for Greenwood (6-0), Hallie Adams, Elise Fenno, Catherine Gott, Annabel Justice and Sydney Parsons scored one goal each. Sarah Scott added four assists, and Kennedy White had one assist.

Lady Gators goalkeeper Elizabeth DeMarse notched the shutout.

Greenwood is back in action Sept. 9 vs. McCracken County in the Lady Marshal Classic at Marshall County. Glasgow (3-5) returns to action at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at Clinton County.

Barren County 10, Hart County 0

Hadleigh Hammer and Laney Smith each recorded a hat trick as host Barren County cruised to a 10-0 girls’ soccer win Thursday over Hart County.

Hammer finished with three goals and an assist, and Smith also had three goals. Maddie Green added a goal and three assists for the Trojanettes.

Also for Barren County (5-3), Elizabeth Bertram, Jenna Brooks and Kamryn Williams had a goal apiece, Emma Hughes had two assists, and Connor Groce added one assist.

Trojanettes goalkeeper Emily Pedigo got the shutout.

Barren County (5-3) is back in action at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday against visiting LaRue County.

Boys’ Soccer

Barren County 10, Hart County 0

Fahrudin Alic and James Khual each tallied a hat trick to lead visiting Warren Central to a 10-0 boys’ soccer win Thursday over Grayson County.

Khual finished with three goals and an assist, and Alic also had three goals.

Jimmy Estrada added a goal and an assist for the Dragons, who also got single goals from Senid Avdic, Kaung Hein and Leonce Ndikumana.

Bawi Thang added two assists, and Kiza Anzuruni, Samuel Rodriguez and August Say had one assist each for Warren Central (5-0).

Goalkeeper Kemal Esmic got the shutout.

The Dragons are back in action at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at home against Bowling Green.

Glasgow 2, Barren County 0

Alejandro Bueso scored two goals as host Glasgow earned a 2-0 boys’ soccer win Thursday over Barren County.

Adam Garrett added an assist for the Scotties. Goalkeeper Brantley Estes earned the shutout for Glasgow (4-1).

The Scotties host Franklin-Simpson at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Barren County (3-2-1) hosts Russellville at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Volleyball

Greenwood 3, Logan County 0

Greenwood defeated Logan County 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-15) on Thursday to improve to 11-1 on the season.

Alexa Davis led Greenwood with 10 kills and two aces, while Emmie Bender added eight kills. Rileigh Stivers finished 33 assists and four aces. Grace Hewitt recorded 12 digs.

Greenwood will play at South Warren at 7 p.m. Sept. 7.

Football

Edmonson County 48, Grayson County 0

Despite moving the game ahead one day because of potential inclement weather, visiting Edmonson County had no trouble in rolling to a 48-0 football win over host Grayson County on Thursday night.

The Wildcats led 41-0 at halftime.

Edmonson County (3-0) is back in action at 7 p.m. Sept. 8 against visiting Warren East.
