Sine, Ayers lead Centre to road win

Centre College sophomore guard Tucker Sine (Bowling Green Class of 2015) scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Colonels to a 77-67 men’s basketball win Friday over Southern Athletic Association rival Oglethorpe (Ga.) in Atlanta.

Sine, coming off a career-high 33-point effort in an 86-79 win at Case Western (Ohio) on Dec. 30, hit 6-of-9 3-point attempts against Oglethorpe. Sine also added a game-high five assists and grabbed a rebound.

Centre freshman guard Perry Ayers (Bowling Green Class of 2016) came off the bench to score 13 points in the win. Ayers chipped in with four rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Centre (6-5, 2-0 SAA) is back in action Sunday at SAA rival Berry (Ga.).
