POLICE NEWS : Six men caught in BG sting indicted

The six men who are charged in a Bowling Green sting showcased recently on NBC’s “To Catch a Predator” have been indicted in U.S. District Court
Lorne Lynn Armstrong, 37, 5319 Nolensville Pike, Apt. 13, Nashville; Dustin McPhetridge, 27, 149 Hurd Road, Surgoinsville, Tenn.; Michael Joseph Patterson, 24, 406 W. Indiana Ave. Apt. A-3, Kouts, Ind.; Jeremy Todd West, 27, 402 5th Ave. East, Springfield, Tenn.; Richard Mark Watwood, 42, 806 Rachels View, Hermitage, Tenn.; James T. Fowler, 35, 2205 Winston Place, Murfreesboro, Tenn., were each indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Bowling Green, according to a report from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Louisville.
Each of the men was charged with traveling in interstate commerce with intent to engage in sex with a minor. The cases were conducted by the Kentucky Bureau of Investigation, The Warren County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
If convicted, each of the six are facing a maximum potential penalty of 30 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and supervised release for at least five years and up to life.
All six men are also being charged in Warren Circuit Court with attempted unlawful transaction with a minor, which carries potential penalties of 5 to 10 years in prison.
The men allegedly traveled to Bowling Green to have sex with a minor they met through the Internet. The minor was a decoy from the Perverted Justice group.
Arrest — Two men were arrested in a Tuesday shooting in Morgantown. Mark Madison, no age available, of Morgantown was charged with first-degree assault for shooting Tim Fischer, no age available, of Morgantown on Main Street, according to a report from the Morgantown Police Department.
Fisher was transported to The Medical Center for a gun shot wound and was treated and released, according to the report. Fisher was also charged with fourth-degree assault for the confrontation. The case remains under investigation.
Madison was released from the Butler County Jail after posting a $25,000 surety bond.
Arrest — Belinda Gayle Jenkins, 40, 1225 North Lee Dr. Apt. A, was charged with second-degree assault at 2:42 p.m. Thursday at Rosewood Healthcare Center at 560 High St.
Jenkins is accused of pulling a fire extinguisher off the wall and hitting a woman with it, according to a Bowling Green Police Department report. The two co-workers had argued about who was going to clean a steam table. The victim suffered a cut above her eye in the attack.
Jenkins is at the Warren County Regional Jail without bond.
