Landmark gives awards at annual meeting

The Landmark Association has announced 2016 winners of the association’s annual awards in observation of its 40th anniversary, which was May 26 at Ironwood.

The Jean Thomason House Award went to Stephen and Patsy Morgenthaler for the Erasmus Potter House, also known as “The Castle,” at 1310 College St.

The Landmark Building Awards went to Wes and Loralee Stephens for the Newton Building, also known as “The Spot,” at 326 E. Main Ave.; Dale Augenstein for the Mariah Moore House at 801 State St., and “sustainnovators” Tom and Stephanie Morris for the Tyler-Adams House at 1123 State St.

The General House Award went to Ed and Cheryl Stevens for the Reardon-Natcher House at 638 E. Main Ave. and Lisa Carol Sowders for the home at 1177 Kentucky St.

Other awards given include the Steel Wool Award to Rick and Sylvia Voakes; the Lamplighter Award to Neill Caudill; and the Heritage Award to Dick Pfefferkorn.
