Tigers’ Johson earns Second Team All-Mid-South Conference men’s track honors

Campbellsville senior Aaron Johnson (Logan County Class of 2012) earned his second all-conference honor in as many days on Saturday at the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Williamsburg.

Johnson recorded a personal-best distance of 43.49 meters in the hammer throw, taking second in that event to earn second-team All-MSC honors. On Friday, he earned second-team all-conference with his runner-up finish in the discus.

Campbellsville senior Clayton Embry (Butler County Class of 2012) also had a strong day for the Tigers, taking fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 15.78 seconds and also finishing fourth in the hammer with a throw of 40.63 meters. That throw qualified Embry for the NCCAA national meet.

Campbellsville’s men finished second with 233.50 points. Lindsey Wilson (282) won its second consecutive Mid-South men’s track and field championship. Lindsey Wilson also won the women’s championship.
