Light of Chance to present Clever Cooking Food Seminar

Light of Chance Inc. will present the Clever Cooking Food Seminar at 3 p.m. Sunday at La Gala, 601 State St.

Presented by Passport Health, the seminar will be facilitated by award-winning chef Stephanie Gillespie. Tickets are $10 in advance and may be purchased from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Community Farmers Market at 2319 Nashville Road or online at lightofchance.org. Admission is $15 at the door. Children 10 and under receive free admission.

Gillespie will use her 22 years of experience to teach participants innovative ways to cook healthy, creative meals, provide tips for weight loss and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and give advice for eating healthy on a budget. She will also clear up misconceptions about healthy foods.

Participants will have opportunities to taste local and seasonal food and will receive a free cookbook provided by Express Printing.

There will also be a “Kid’s Kitchen” presented by Edible Arrangements. Kids will go on an adventure to explore food.
