Decker boosts Spartans to win against Wildcats

South Warren junior Jaxen Decker scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds to pace the host Spartans to a 63-49 boys’ basketball win against Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday night.

Clay Willis added 10 points and seven rebounds, and Brandon Perkins also scored 10 points in the win. Griffin Rardin chipped in with nine points for South Warren (10-4), which hosts District 14 rival Bowling Green on Thursday.

Franklin-Simpson (3-8) hosts North Hardin on Friday.

Allen County-Scottsville 43, Westmoreland 31

Kyler Pedigo tallied a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead visiting Allen County-Scottsville to a 43-31 win against Westmoreland (Tennessee) on Tuesday.

Pedigo was 3-of-4 from 3-point range for the Patriots. Tyler Turner added nine points and seven rebounds in the win.

ACS (5-8) is at District 15 foe Warren East on Thursday.

Adair County 89, Glasgow 65

Visiting Glasgow dropped an 89-65 decision to Adair County on Tuesday.

Josiah Driver paced the Scotties with 19 points in the loss. Landon Minton added 13 points, Jeremiah Moore had 11 points and Quinn Nunley finished with seven points and seven rebounds.

Glasgow (3-10) hosts District 15 rival Barren County on Thursday.

Clinton County 71, FCA 26

Homestanding Clinton County rolled to a 71-26 win against Foundation Christian Academy on Tuesday.

Logan Nix finished with team highs of 16 points, including a 3-of-4 effort from 3-point range, and six rebounds.

William Cummins added eight points for the Falcons.

FCA (7-4) is at Dayspring Academy in Greenbrier, Tennessee, on Thursday.

GIRLS

Franklin-Simpson 54, South Warren 38

LaReesha Cawthorn piled up a huge double-double with 26 points and 15 rebounds to spark visiting Franklin-Simpson to a 54-38 win against South Warren on Tuesday.

Vanessa Ray added 17 points and six rebounds, and Kloie Smith had eight points and seven boards for the Lady Wildcats in the win.

Franklin-Simpson (12-1) hosts District 13 foe Russellville on Friday.

South Warren (4-9) is home against District 14 rival Bowling Green on Thursday.

Westmoreland 46, Allen County-Scottsville 42

Visiting Allen County-Scottsville fell short in a 46-42 decision to Westmoreland (Tennessee) on Tuesday.

Avery Morris scored a team-high 15 points and Debora Patrick posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Patriots in the loss.

ACS (7-6) are back in action Thursday at District 15 rival Warren East.
