Greenbo Will Host “Die Fledermaus” at Annual Festival of Nations

Greenbo Lake State Resort Park will host the 40th annual Festival of Nations presented by the International Folklanders on July 19, 2008.

The International Folklanders will perform “Die Fledermaus,” a comic operetta composed by Johann Strauss Jr. and adapted by Carole Prietzel. The Folklanders are a folk and ethnic dance troupe. Show time is 8:00 pm at the Greenbo Lake Amphitheatre. Admission is $5 per person, and children 12 and under are free. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for an evening of fun.

Greenbo Lake State Resort Park is located on KY 1, 18 miles north of I-64 from the Grayson exit or 8 miles south of U.S. 23 (The Country Music Highway) on KY 1. Greenbo Lake features the Jesse Stuart Lodge with 36 rooms, gift shop, and Anglers’ Cove Restaurant. The park has a 225 acre lake for boating and fishing, tennis courts, and 25 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The newly renovated campground is scheduled to open July 1. Greenbo Amphitheatre features musical concerts and plays during the summer and fall.
