The marriage of Page Sullivan Minton and William Corbin Smith was performed by the Rev. James Richard Bard and the Rev. Adam Eugene Shourds on June 13, 2015, at Broadway United Methodist Church in Bowling Green.
The bride is the daughter of Chief Justice and Mrs. John Dean Minton Jr. and the groom is the son of Mrs. Jill Perkins Smith and Mr. William Ben Smith. The bride is the granddaughter of Betty Redick Minton and the late John Dean Minton and the late Hattie Collins Page and Roger Morris Page. The groom is the grandson of Betty Lou Corbin Smith and the late William Hodge Smith and the late Nancy Carroll Miller Perkins and Joe Peck Perkins.
The bride wore her mother’s bridal gown, refashioned. The sleeveless, round-lace neck, scalloped hem, cathedral-length gown of candlelight satin, silk and leon lace was accented with seed pearls and sequins and buttons down the back. She wore a fingertip veil with satin candlelight ribbon trim. She carried a bouquet of buttercream English garden roses, white blush and pale pink peonies and white Tibet roses.
The maid of honor was Dory Mayhew Blackey of Versailles. Laura Ferguson Edelen of Bowling Green, Katheryne Cook Lawson of White Post, Va., Caroline Nicole Lamberti of Oakton, Va., and McCall Smith Allen and Margaret McKenzie Smith, sisters of the groom, of Bowling Green, were bridesmaids. Lou-Evelyn Grace Allen, niece of the groom, was the honorary flower girl. Anne Campbell Hawkins of Bowling Green and Lee Sullivan Baxter, cousin of the bride, were guest register attendants. Charlotte Garvin Hunt of Bowling Green was an honorary guest register attendant. Ada Dorothy Pinney, cousin of the bride, of Mount Sterling and Meredith McHenry Word of Bowling Green were program attendants.
The best man was Benjamin Andrew Rauh of Bowling Green. William Craig Beard, Hampton Keith Bishop, Joseph Richard Allen, John Deane Minton II, brother of the bride, all of Bowling Green, and Matthew Barclay Riley of Olmstead were groomsmen. Collin Walker Kelley and Harrison Gray Kilgore of Bowling Green were ushers.
A reception followed at the home of the bride.
After a wedding trip to the British Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Lexington.
Mr. Smith is a CPA associated with Mountjoy Chilton Medley and Mrs. Smith will attend the University of Kentucky College of Law.
