Geraldine (Gerry) Perkins

Geraldine (Gerry) Perkins, 72, passed away Jan. 7, 2015, after a struggle with cancer. 

Gerry was born Sept. 27, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson and Clara Kubiczki Wise.

Gerry attended Columbiana High School of Columbiana, Ohio, and Southside Hospital School of Radiology in Youngstown. In 1962, Gerry married the love of her life, Dennis Raymond Perkins. They lived in North Lima, Ohio, where she raised her family for seven years.

In 1980, she and Dennis moved to Bowling Green. Gerry began working at Western Kentucky Orthopedic and Neurosurgical Associates, where she worked at the practice for 20 years as an X-ray technician.

Geraldine was a lifelong Lutheran by faith. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of New Springfield, Ohio.

Gerry is survived by her husband, Dennis Perkins of Bowling Green; her brothers, Alan Wise of Mount Juliet, Tenn., and Dennis Wise of East Liverpool, Ohio; her children, Doug and Terri Perkins (daughter-in-law) of New Palestine, Ind., Jennifer and Darrell Burns (son-in-law) of Bowling Green and Jason and Jennifer Perkins (daughter-in-law) of Lakeland, Tenn.; four grandsons, Seth and Jacob Perkins of New Palestine, Ind., and Noah and Adam Burns of Bowling Green; and a number of nieces and nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Dailey, and a grandson, Andrew Perkins.

There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son, Lovers Lane chapel. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral chapel.
