Purples take top spot in latest Daily News Top 10

The Bowling Green Purples have squeaked past Warren Central for the top spot in the latest Daily News Area Top 10.
The Dragons have held the top spot by a slim margin since the first poll, but Bowling Green inches ahead this week by one point. The Purples received five first-place votes, while the Dragons received four first-place votes.
Greenwood is third this week, with Butler County fourth and South Warren fifth.
Warren East, Clinton County, Cumberland County, Barren County and Russell County round out the top 10.
On the girls’ side there is little movement with Franklin-Simpson remaining a unanimous No. 1. Barren County holds on to second, with Warren East swapping places with Metcalfe County from last week. The Lady Raiders are third, with the Lady Hornets fourth.
Bowling Green remains in the top 5, holding in fifth.
Allen County-Scottsville, Cumberland County, Greenwood, Todd County Central and Monroe County round out the girls’ top 10.
