SCOTTSVILLE Roger Doby Brooks, 60, of Scottsville died at 7:50 p.m. April 14, 2004, at a Scottsville nursing home.The Allen County native was a former employee of Federal Mogul and an Army veteran. He was a son of the late Sam Brown Brooks and Cynthia Mae Parker Brooks.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rogerlynn Brooks, a sister, Jean Johnson, and a brother, David Brooks.Survivors include his wife, Lois Anita Miller Brooks; a daughter, Wendy Emberton of Westmoreland, Tenn.; four brothers, James Brooks of Scottsville, Bill Brooks of Bargersville, Ind., Danny Brooks of Indianapolis and Sammy Brooks of Martinsville, Ind.; five sisters, Katy Brooks of Scottsville, Ruth Throxal of Perry, Ga., and Shirley Raidt, Karen Parsons and Lisa Cooper, all of Martinsville, Ind.; three stepdaughters, Brittany Brooks and Michelle Johnson, both of Scottsville, and Cindy Hanson of Franklin; a stepson, Jeff Lyle of Franklin; an aunt, Naomi King of Scottsville; two grandchildren, Bradley Emberton and Addie Elizabeth Emberton of Westmoreland; and nine stepgrandchildren.
