BOWLING GREEN – It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Margaret. Mom of five daughters, two surviving, eight grandchildren; seven great grand-children; and ten great great grandchildren. Those that knew Margaret knew how important her family was to her. They were her heart and soul with strength and faith as a close equal.
Her entire life was so centered around these loves; family, home and faith. Being a strong homemaker and wife was a center focus of her life, ever since she fell in love with our father, Moye W. Forshee. Upon graduating high school in Bowling Green, the two of them went to Connecticut to start their family of five girls. Upon Moye’s return from World War II in Europe, her joy was cooking and taking care of their home.
Later, in her mid-adult life, Margaret had a strong business ethic that showed through as manager of Allied Medical Supply store here in Bowling Green. Many a doctor or nurse bought their scrubs from her, as well as, students from WKU and other schools in Kentucky. Her entrepreneurship was built to the level of achieving; the American Business Women of America Chapters’ “Woman of the Year” award in 1980. She went on to represent her local chapter at the national meeting in Phoenix, Arizona that fall and was recognized as third runner-up in the country for businesswoman of the year.
Margaret had a full and rewarding life. Her joy and love was known and shared by many. In sharing her passing with her friends and family, so many spoke of her laughter and her joy of heart, and how good of a cook she was. Her adventuring nature came through not only in her love of travel, but her desire to always do her best. Her light, her kindness, her laughter, her joy of heart, her strength, her compassion will be with all of us who have been blessed to have known her. We love you, mom. You will be physically missed, but always in our hearts. Thank you for being you!
Our memories will hold us strong with you forever. With great love and respect… Thank you Margaret. Thank you, Mom. Thank you, Grandma. Thank you, Grandma Margaret. Forever as one, Your loving family and friends.
