Hosparus will offer a free two-part volunteer training session from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 21 at its Bowling Green office, 101 Riverwood Ave. Lunch will be provided.

Volunteers can choose from a variety of duties, including patient/family support, administrative duties, help with community events and fundraising. There is a special need for hairdressers for the Barren River region as well as volunteers for the Lunar 5K on Sept. 6. The 5K volunteers do not require extra training.

Volunteers, who can be of all ages and interests, must be in good health, have available transportation and complete an application and training.
