Harold Mitchum ‘Mitch’ Harvey

Harold Mitchum “Mitch” Harvey, 71, of Smiths Grove, formerly of Columbia, died at 8:20 p.m. June 17, 2014, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

He was born Oct. 13, 1942, in Adair County to the late Harold Reece and Sarah Helen Thomas Harvey. He was a former businessman, operating a towing business, an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his former wife, Nancy Harvey of Stuart, Fla.; two daughters, Keirsten Jaggers of Smiths Grove and Leah (Travis) Conklin of Bowling Green; two grandchildren, Jared Madison of Boston and Vivien Conklin of Bowling Green; three sisters, Diane (Phillip) Burris of Tuscola, Ill., Wanda Watson and Elaine Thomas, both of Louisville; and several other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daryl and Tony Harvey.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home. Visitation is after 4:30 p.m. today. At Mitch’s request, cremation has been chosen for final disposition. www.grissommartin.com.
