Irene Marie Frakes, 80, of Bowling Green died at 9:40 p.m. Aug. 20, 2004, at her home.

The Evansville, Ind., native was retired from the Indiana Department of Public Welfare and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She was the wife of the late William F. Frakes Jr. and the daughter of the late Arch Fisher and Marie Cox Fisher.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Alexander East Chapel in Evansville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at J.C. KirSurvivors include two sons, Don Frakes and his wife, Martha, of Bowling Green and William Frakes and his wife, Susan, of Findlay, Ohio; six grandchildren, Scott Frakes and his wife, Jen, of St. Louis, Brett Frakes and his wife, Lisa, of Findlay, Jason Frakes of Louisville, Sandra Madsen and her husband, Darin, of Findlay, Danny Young of Hartford and Meredith Young of Bowling Green; five great-grandchildren, Samantha Madsen, Justin Madsen, Mia Frakes, Tomarah Young and Trace Young.
