Trojanettes climb to No. 2 in latest Daily News poll

Fresh off wins against Warren East and Cumberland County, the Barren County Trojenettes climb to second in the latest Daily News Area Top 10.
Barren County, who has won four straight since a season opening loss to Green County, jumps three spots in a week that sees plenty of movement in the girls’ poll.
Franklin-Simpson holds at No. 1, a unanimous choice for the first time this season. Metcalfe County slides up a spot to third with Warren East dropping a spot to fourth.
Bowling Green slides three spots down to fifth.
Allen County-Scottsville, Cumberland County, Greenwood, Monroe County and Todd County Central rounds out the girls’ poll.
On the boys’ side, Warren Central holds on to first with Bowling Green just behind in second. The Dragons received five first place votes while the Purples received four first place votes.
Unbeaten Greenwood climbs to third with Butler County fourth and Warren East fifth.
South Warren, Clinton County, Cumberland County, Barren County and Allen County-Scottsville rounds out the boys’ poll.
