Joe W. Proctor Sr., 74, of Bowling Green, and a native of Salem, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, in Bowling Green.

Joe was a former employee of Cutler-Hammer, Strausshein and Bradford Moving Co. The High Street School graduate served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and listening to the blues. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Walker-Proctor; a son, Joe W. Proctor Jr.; and parents, Herbert Burnam and Arnella Proctor-Burnam.

Joe is survived by a daughter, Robin (Jerrold) Proctor-Martin of Bowling Green; a son, Joe Williams Proctor of Bowling Green; stepchildren, Penny Gilbert of Bowling Green and Jesse Lack of Tullahoma, Tenn.; a sister, Louvella Whitney of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Raven Walker, Melayha Walker, Kamree Gouy, Anthony Gilbert and Timothy Gilbert; great-grandchildren, Erica Gilbert, Aaliyah Gilbert and Justin Lack; an aunt, Mary Clyde Tutt of Jeffersonville, Ind.; uncles, William Proctor and George Proctor of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Sterling Proctor of Bowling Green; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; and lifelong fishing and hunting buddy, Will T. Moss of Bowling Green.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Burnam & Son Mortuary Inc., 201 Center St., Bowling Green. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Burnam & Son Mortuary, with interment at Brock Beery Veterans Cemetery, Bowling Green.
