Los Angeles based-artist Robert Delong—a “2013 Artist To Watch” by the likes of MTV, Billboard and VIBE–will be bringing his engaging sound and vision to Bowling Green this Friday, April 26 at Revolution 91.7’s Mayhem 2013 at Circus Square Park alongside Pomegranates, The Foxery and many others.

The singer, songwriter, producer, programmer and drummer recently released his debut album, Just Movement for Glassnote Records on February 5, which features the breakout single “Global Concepts.” “Global Concepts” is currently building at radio stations across the country with strong play on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation. A one-man futuristic dance party with beats as cerebral as Orbital and club-ready as Calvin Harris, Delong is also a profoundly gifted singer/songwriter who raises questions about identity and spirituality. These two elements join together on Just Movement, a dazzling collection of dance beats, pop hooks and thought-provoking queries that could very well be the soundtrack for 2013. Delong is the perfect artist to bring electronic dance music to Glassnote, home of Mumford & Sons, Two Door Cinema Club, Phoenix and more.

Raised in the suburbs of Seattle, Delong headed south to Los Angeles with a toolbox of Wii-motes, keyboards and drums to develop a live rock show that CMJ Magazine claims worthy of “an 8-bit warrior, seamlessly creating danceable electro beats with his Wii Remote and Sega Genesis controller on par with the Chemical Brothers.” Delong began performing his genre-bending songs in 2010. He uses MIDI interfaces, a full drum set, drum pads, keyboards, laptops and game controllers, looping his music live to fuse electronic dance beats with striking melodies and lyrics with emotional heart. His charismatic live performance has caught the attention of many influential promoters, landing him performance slots at such major festivals as Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Governor’s Ball, Sasquatch!, Voodoo, Made In America and Firefly along with SXSW, where he performed at 12 showcases throughout the week.
