Billy Neal, 74, of Alvaton, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012.

Mr. Neal was born March 20, 1938, in Northport, Ala., to the late James Roy and Louise Neal. He was a member of State Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by three sisters and a twin brother.

Billy Neal is survived by his wife of 35 years, Doretha Neal of Alvaton; a daughter, Holly Jackson of Oakland; a son, Jason Neal of Alvaton; two granddaughters, RoseMary and Jacqueline Jackson of Oakland; four sisters, Ms. Nevia Jean Neal of Northport, Ala., Ms. Dannie Mae Neal of Cleveland, Mrs. Janice Bonner of Detroit and Mrs. Charlotte Payne of Detroit; a special aunt, Mrs. Susie Mae Mayfield of Northport, Ala.; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Cone Funeral Home on Campbell Lane. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is prior to the funeral Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
