David E. Blythe

David E. Blythe, 51, of Scottsville, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at University Hospital of Kentucky in Lexington.
He was born in Bowling Green on Feb. 27, 1961, to the late Bobby Gene Blythe and Mary Carter Blythe of Mount Juliet, Tenn. He was a disabled truck driver. He loved to play jokes on his family and friends. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is also survived by his son, Bobby Blythe of Alvaton; stepsons, Brian and Chad Gregory; he was a wonderful grandfather to Krista Blythe, Joseph Finn, Jesse and James Estes, and Kelsey, Kendall and Ethan Gregory; also a sister, Debbie Hackett and her husband, Jerry Fair, of Cincinnati; his brothers, Bob Blythe and his wife, Dottie, of Nashville, and Tommy Blythe of Mount Juliet; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Blythe.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel. Friends may call on the family after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. David had requested to be cremated.
