KSP investigates Munfordville shooting that leaves man’s father dead

Kentucky State Police is investigating the death of a Hart County man after a shooting near Munfordville on Monday morning.According to a report, James Dennis, 59, visited the home of his son, Jimmie Dennis, near Munfordville, where an argument ensued and two shots were fired from a .20 gauge shotgun. Jimmie Dennis then left the home and called KSP to report the incident, which left his father dead. The investigation continues and no arrests were made as of press time.Accident An 80-year-old Hart County man was taken to T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow after he wrecked his 1980 Ford truck on Ky. 88 at about 4:30 this morning, according to a state police report.Robert G. Byrd was eastbound when his truck dropped off the roads right shoulder and struck a tree about a mile east of Hardyville. His condition was not known at press time.
