Teen Tech Week at Warren County Public Library

Teen Tech Week is March 6-12, 2011.  This year’s theme is “Mix and Mash @ Your Library.” The goal of the week is to inform young adults, parents, educators, and concerned community members about the wealth of non-print resources available at the public library.  This week also encourages young adults to be creative with technology.

“Each year, the Young Adult Library Services Association, which is part of the American Library Association, sets a week aside to celebrate technology and Young Adults,” says Youth Librarian Laura Johnson.

“The Warren County Public Library will celebrate Teen Tech Week in a number of ways,” says Johnson.  “On Friday March 11, teens can visit the Bob Kirby Branch for Mix and Mash Tech Art.  The program, which starts at 3:30, will encourage teens to create sculptures and collages with broken pieces of technology.”

Other tech related programs will also take place at the Graham Drive Community Library. For more information call 270-782-0252 or visit our web site at www.warrenpl.org.
