Thomas Melvin Taylor Jr., 82, of Louisville, formerly of Scottsville, died Jan. 14, 2004, at V.A. Hospital in Louisville.The Warren County native was a retired pharmacist, a member of Hurstborne Baptist Church in Louisville and a World War II Navy veteran. He was a son of the late Thomas Melvin Taylor Sr. and Beth Hunton Taylor. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Johnson.Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.Survivors include his wife, Martha Zachery Taylor; a son, William Thomas Taylor of Georgia; two granddaughters, Amanda J. Gritton of Louisville and Kathy Rookstool of Scottsville; and two great-grandchildren, Dillon and Taylor Rookstool.
