The Friends of the Warren County Public Library will celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week October 16 – 22, 2011. Each year the WCPL Friends raise money to help the library increase its visibility and value in the community, providing resources for much needed equipment and supplies as well as support for reading activities and special programs.
“Our Friends members recognize the importance of well-funded libraries and work to ensure the public library receives the resources it needs to provide a wide range of services to citizens of all ages,” says library director Lisa Rice. “We simply would not be able to offer the variety of programs were it not for our Friends of the Library.”
