Lucille King

Lucille King, 93, of Bowling Green, died March 27, 2011, at a Mount Washington nursing home.

The Oakland native was born Dec. 1, 1917. She was a homemaker and retired from The Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was a graduate of Oakland High School and was the oldest member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and neighbor. She loved her farm and her cows. She was a daughter of the late Charlie Easton and Nell Rasdell Easton and the wife of the late Eldon King. She was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Wayne King and Bobby Eldon King; a sister, Jessie Sprinks; and two brothers, Georgie Elvis Easton and Raymond Easton.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy King Lowery and her husband, Harold, of Mount Washington; a daughter-in-law, Doris King of Bowling Green; a brother, Julian Easton and his wife, Sylvia, of Oakland; three grandchildren, Timmy Wayne King and his wife, Cara, of Scottsville, LaDonna Kay Forshee and her husband, Trent, of Bowling Green, and Judy Michelle Tennill of Mount Washington; and eight great-grandchildren, Caleb King, Daniel King, Ashley King and Alexis King, all of Scottsville, Blake Forshee and Emily Forshee, both of Bowling Green, and Cole Nicholas Tennill and Trey Lucas Tennill, both of Mount Washington.
