An outdoors man and pioneer at heart, Jim has studied and experienced the tales of the old west. In loving them, he has lived them.
During his early years, Jim drew and painted the familiarities of his surroundings….the wild life, the discarded tools and dwellings of three generations. He absorbed the tales of the early days and learned to love the people and their way of life. Homesteads of the past turn up in Jim’s paintings; houses and barns, full of memories, seem to have each item of everyday use in place. While the people have vanished, their way of life, though almost forgotten, is now remembered on canvas.
Jim Noble has owned and operated Noble Galleries in Durango, Colorado since 1968. His paintings and bronzes are in collections in almost every state and many foreign countries as well as several museums. Jim has now returned to Kentucky for a one-man show at the Heritage Art Gallery in Horse Cave, Kentucky.
