HORSE CAVE — Rob Jewell, 39, of Munfordville, died May 11, 2011, at his home.

The Hart County native was the former owner of Allstate Insurance Agency in Elizabethtown and a member of Munfordville First United Methodist Church. He was a 1990 graduate of Hart County High School and had played football at Vanderbilt University and Mississippi State University. He was a son of Larry and Sue Branstetter Jewell of Horse Cave, who survive. He was preceded in death by a paternal great-grandmother, Gertrude Caudel; maternal grandparents, L.D. and Davie Branstetter; and his paternal grandfather, Robert T. Jewell.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Munfordville First United Methodist Church, with private burial to follow later at Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Winn Funeral Home and begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Other survivors include his wife, Bethany Nunn Jewell; a sister, Andrea Robertson and her husband, Jonathan, of Hardyville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Garry and Betty Wright Nunn of Hardyville; a paternal grandmother, Phyllis Jewell of Seattle; aunts, Sherry Waddell and her husband, Ricky, and Gada Denton, all of Horse Cave, Shelly Willis and her husband, Gary, of Brentwood, Tenn., Terri Chaney and her husband, Charles, of Hardyville, Jacque Martin and her husband, David, of New Hampshire, and Robin Williams of Oregon; an uncle, Gerry Jewell of Seattle; brothers-in-law, Chad Nunn of Florida and Trevor Nunn of Bowling Green; several loving cousins; and several friends.
