Fun walk for St. Jude set this Saturday
The Friends and Family Fun Walk for St. Jude will be Saturday at Kereiakes Park.
Registration will be at 8:30 a.m. at Shelter No. 1, with the 2.5-mile walk at 9 a.m. Those who donate $35 will receive a T-shirt, those who donate $75 will receive a backpack and donors of $150 will receive a blanket. There also will be a bake sale organized by a small group of home-schoolers. Free drinks will be provided by Walmart. The person who raises/donates the most money will receive a basketball goal.

Acoustic concert to be at Edmonson High
Three Nashville singer/songwriters will perform at “Evening in the Round,” an acoustic concert, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Edmonson County High School Darrell Cassady Auditorium.
The concert will feature Grammy Award winner Linda Davis, songwriters Lang Scott and Bill Whyte and special guest, Brownsville native Laney Meredith.
Tickets are $20 and are available at Bank of Edmonson County’s Bowling Green and Brownsville locations. Proceeds will go to Relay for Life.
BG Rose Society holding show Saturday
The Bowling Green Rose Society 2011 Rose Show, “Songs of Kentucky,” will be from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Post No. 23.

Tour de Town begins at Boatlanding Park
The Tour de Town Hobson Grove Ride, a family-friendly bike ride tour, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday starting at Boatlanding Park.
There will be free admission to Riverview at Hobson Grove Museum for the first 15 participants.
Helmets are required.

Run 4 Ruth Ann to benefit cancer society
North Warren Relay Team’s second annual Run 4 Ruth Ann 5K run/walk and 1-mile fun walk will be Saturday at North Warren Elementary School in Smiths Grove.
Registration will be at 7 a.m. The 5K run will be at 8 a.m. followed by the 5K walk at 8:05 a.m. and the 1-mile fun walk at 8:10 a.m.
Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Car club to hold show at barbecue festival
The Rolling Rods Car Club will host the third annual Car Show at Fountain Run BBQ Festival at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon. Trophies will be awarded to the top 25 and in 15 specialty categories.
