Fountain Square Players will present the musical Oliver!, based on a the book, music and lyrics by Lionel Bart. The play won Tony and Laurence Olivier Awards.

After running away from the orphanage run by the heartless Mr. Bumble, Oliver meets the Artful Dodger and is recruited to pick pockets for Fagin. There, Oliver finds a friend in Nancy , but neither she nor the boys are fit for a life of crime. Songs include “Food, Glorious Food,” “Where Is Love,” “You’ve Got To Pick A Pocket Or Two” and “As Long As He Needs Me.” 774 Broadway performances.

Performances are June 23 -26, 2011 at the Phoenix Theatre.
