Claude Milton Gary, 84, of Alvaton died at 3:35 p.m. Jan. 8, 2004, at a Bowling Green nursing home.The Warren County native was a retired police officer for the City of Bowling Green, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Fraternal Order of Police. He was a son of the late Milton Gary and Lena Marcum Gary.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Mount Union Cemetery in Allen County. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Survivors include a son, Lester Gary of Alvaton; two sisters, Christine Garrett and Anna Jewell Claypool, both of Bowling Green; two granddaughters, Leslie Johnson of Bowling Green and Kelley Wales of Shelby, Neb.; four great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
