The Far Off Broadway Players will present See How They Run on February 25 & 26 at 7PM and February 27 at 2PM.
The Far Off Broadway Players, located in Glasgow, Kentucky is a local community theatre group with roots going back to the 1950’s. Surviving several reorganizations through the past few years, FOBP has evolved into a very active nonprofit community theatre with over 70 members.
See How They Run is a fast action comedy with a rib tickling plot that has left audiences exhausted from laughter at its finish as though they had run a foot race.
Galloping in and out of the four doors of an English vicarage are an American actor who is now stationed with the air force in England and an actress who is now married to the vicar. As these two old friends reunite for a night of innocent fun, the real excitement begins.
Also present are a Cockney maid who has seen too many American movies and a nosy “old maid” who has secret romantic feelings for the vicar, and who unintentionally “touches alcohol for the first time in her life.” Added to the mix are four men in clergyman suits, one being a disguised escaped prisoner, and another being a sedate Bishop aghast at all these goings on and the outlandish stories they tell him.
Mass confusion leads to a game of “will the real vicar please stand up?!
All tickets for all shows are reserved seating and all tickets are $10.00 per ticket (for all ages and all groups). Tickets may be purchased by phone at (270) 361-2101, x0 or at the Plaza Theatre Box Office during business hours or online at www.plaza.org 24 hours a day.
