Michael Fuqua Medicinebear, 52, of Smiths Grove, died at 3:24 p.m. Sept. 3, 2010, at The Medical Center.

The Warren County native was co-owner of Arrive Alive Taxi, a member of LDS church and Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a son of Marvin Connor, who survives, and the late Ester Fuqua. He was preceded in death by a son, John Luke.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Cremation was chosen. Hardy & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Byrd Medicinebear of Smiths Grove; nine children, Michaeljoe, Chuck, Elijah, Tony, Jackie, Adam, Nicholas, George and Jermia; a brother, Marvin Connor Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Bowling Green; three sisters, Kathy York, Kay Conner and Debbie; seven grandchildren, Lacoda, Zackery, Chance, Piper, Bentley, Jadlyn and Charles Michael; his special pet, Ticket; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Ruby Ennis; and a very special friend, James Buster.
